^^pretty sure he said he didnt have spacers...if he does have spacers that may be the case, that the oem studs are not long enough and he is not getting enough turns on it..

i figured it was probably a typo since i have never heard of a NP spacer and the p and O are right next to each other on the keyboard. but that was what i was thinking with the spacers.

Sorry.. No spacers.

What lugs do you guys recommend? The guy I got them from was using gorilla lugs.

Nut looks correct. Is it too short? In other words is it bottoming out on the top of the lug?

well, if he had no issues with them then logically the lug of choice would be the gorilla lugs.

Do you mean is the stud hitting the top of the lug nut before I can fully tighten them. If this is what your asking I don't think so. There is about 3/8" of an inch to 7/16" of an inch exposed before putting the lug nut on.

Yes that is what I am asking. Just wanted to rule out the possibility.

my two cents as well. if it worked for him, why change it up? you can even get gorilla lugs at local places like discount tire.

2nd Gorilla lugs. One last thing, are sure the lugs are OEM spec? Just want to rule out that a previous owner changed the studs and lugs to a new size/spec without your knowledge. Good luck!

Thats the thing... The other owner had a BBK on his Z. I called the maker of the rim and they told me you have to use special lug nuts with their rim. 5 bucks a nut and 15 for the key. Hopefully this will do the trick. If not the rims will be up for sale. Not going to take any chances. Thank you to everyone for all their help. I'm pretty new to mod'n Zs and have a lot to learn. Thanks again.

So $115 for lugs and key on a set of Motegis I have a set of Motegis on my wifes Altima I use the gorilla lugs i also have hub centric rings but I doubt the lack of them would cause the nuts to shake off i would buy gorilla lugs I cant see spending $115 on lugs for a set of wheels that likely cost $500

Take them to a local shop to have them looked at.

It could be your studs or your lugs.
