Default Tire/Alignment Question

I've heard about the potential problems with front end alignment and tire wear on the front tires of 03 z's. I've had my car about a year and put about 15k in my daily commute. My issue is excessive wear on the rear tires. When I bought the car the Potenza's on the car were fine up front but worn out in the rear. I thought maybe they had been abused. I replaced them with new General Exclaim's and after less than 15k miles the fronts are still in great shape and the rears are bald. I don't burn them off. I can't figure out what could be causing this. Is this a common problem? Any ideas?

Alignment? Car lowered? Worn how (inside, outside, evenly)?

RWD vehicles wear rear tires faster than front. It’s not a problem just a fact of life.

What he said.

Consider yourself lucky if you can get 20k out of your rears.

Thanks for the replies. I've had many rear wheel drive cars including Corvettes, Mustangs, and previous generation Z's, but have never seen rear tires wear like these have. Tomorrow I'm going to get new tires and have it aligned.
