Where can I find the weight of certain wheels, without the hassle of calling the supplier or manufacturer on a specific model? I've got a track 350z, and am concerned about the weight addition that may come with aftermarket wheels. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on the wheels, either.
Can anyone tell me how much the ADR M-Sport wheels weigh? I believe I heard that the Rays are 18#/ea?
How much of a difference will I feel vs. loss of performance?
Should I look for another forged wheel?
Also, I've been told not to use spacers in the past. I do like a wheel to sit flush, or close to flush with the fender though. Any opinions?
Thanks.

your correct the track rims are around 18lbs each, only forged rims(and light weight forged at that) will match it.
2-3lbs you might not notice it at all, 5-10 you might notice a more sluggish acceleration, as well as a bit more skitterish handling as the wheel is not as able to follow the road cleanly.
dont know how much ADR's are, but if they arent forged its safe to say they arent 18lbs.
most forged rims in that range are 2000 or more for a set. personally if you cant go equal to what you have, you shouldnt change.
as far as spacers, if you get new rims, go wider, 9.5 in back is popular, 8.5 in front(or any size near) then with the right offsets the tires are flush without spacers.

nor does forged as he pointed out. while some 2 and 3 peice forged can be light... HRE makes a few, but then you really better be flashin the green.
on the plus side, your track rims are worth 1400-1500$, so you can sell them then your looking at about 3000 to replace with forged 18" rims (2000 for rims, 1000 for tread). only costs you 1500 or so out of pocket.

The "factory" Rays are a really great wheel. I picked up a touring ... so I had to get rid of those poopy 18's.
I picked up a set of Volk Gram pro lights 57F
they are a 2 piece forged rim... I love them. If you get the right offset you won't even have to roll the fenders... and they are pretty flush with the side of the body. I would call Jeff @ evolution auto sports. He advised me on the proper offsets for the front and back. In the front I have a 9.5 inch rim... Rear is a 10.5 both are 19"..and the car is lowered by 1.5 inch's too.
I am totally impressed with the sound advice that I got on my wheels...
You can see them here....
