Please help me pick a tire size
I just ordered a new set of four 19x9.5 wheels with 20mm offset on all four corners. The wheels are identical and I need some tires that will look good. I'm not sure if they should be identical sizes or not. Maybe the rear should be bigger to give it a more aggressive look?
The car is an '05 and it's not lowered - I don't plan on lowering it.
Thanks for the input!!

275 is fine on a 9.5" from a wheel fitment standpoint (max 285 per Tirerack tire spec charts). I think 275 shouldn't rub the fenders at et20 theorhetically as you can put 295/315 on OEM 18/19 et30 w/ stock suspension and no rub, it will be close. I'm sure someone can validate from actual experience though. Suspension clearance should not be an issue as I'm running front 275 et30 (35et + 5mm spacer, 35et is only ~1-2mm from rubbing the suspension). Don't forget to validate rear height 0-3% taller than front for VDC.
Hi Chris, You are in Bemidji, Minnesota so you will run your car on two lane highways built in swampy areas that often have irregular surfaces. There is plenty of rain there so you will occasionally be on wet roadways.
In that type of environment, I think you are better off with a staggered setup that provides some amount of under-steer.
A couple of possibilities with your new wheels:
1) 245/35-19” Front with 275/35-19” Rear
2) 255/35-19” Front with 285/35-19” Rear
Your wheels are square, but if you go with tires having the same width front and rear, your car will have neutral steer. That can get tricky on wet roadways with irregular surfaces.

^^ I agree. 265mm wide tires are a good pick for 9.5” wide front wheels.
Although a 245 or 255 wide tire is within specifications for a 9.5” wide wheel, that width tire (especially the 245mm tire) will be stretched.
In Bemidji, Minnesota, there are no issues parking far enough away from curbs to avoid scraping nice wheels. In fact because of the snowfall in Bemidji, the streets downtown are very crowned and the curbs are very high. It isn’t so much curb-rash you need to worry about, but actually scraping the side of your car that can be a concern.

I was considering doing the same squared set up on my '03 except with a 25mm offset on the wheels. However, I have been told that this set up would either not look right, drive right, and/or fit correctly. Everything is Base line stock and I as well do not plan on lowering the car, at least anytime soon. Im curious on how this turned out for Chris, anyone know? I guess what I am trying to find out is if I should stay away from this setup regardless on how much I like the wheels. I also was curious on the tire size selection below. I am trying to stay within the 0-3% range so I can stay clear of the slip issue. Would the listed tire size (#2) below be ideal for the 20mm offset for these tires too? I show the spec difference from the OEM as follows; please correct me if im wrong in thinking i will not have any slip issues.
(F) 265/35/19 - has a 1.7% difference with a circum. of 82.63
(R) 275/35/19 - has a 1.2% difference with a circum. of 83.50
Thanks,
Aric

^^ Looks good Chris. I really like the black spokes with the polished rim... and the flush tire fitment (although a slight drop would improve this).
Any reason you decide not to post the specifications with your pics?

I noticed you were in Bemidji MN, I will have to keep an eye out next time I am out there. My company is installing the seating at the event center and I should be out there in a couple of weeks.
Sorry guys, not trying to keep any secrets, what's the point of that? haha. Just forgetful.
I did not ask if these where Mustang wheels...?
Specs: Front: 245-35-19; Rear: 275-35-19
They are Hankook Ventus V12 tires
