Mine are basic chrome ones from amazon and the chrome cracked away and starts to rust... I will try the black lock set on password jdm. They look promising. Thanks

These are the xxr's. no spacer on right now. this is 18x10.5 like +25 or something im not sure. the rear needs a spacer hard and the front could probably survive with just a 5mm slide on one. Tires are 235 40

Default Need some info on wider tires

Okay, so I just picked up a staggered set of XXR 530's.
The fronts are 18x8.75+20 and the rears are 18x9.75 +20
My Z is also lowered on Tein S-Tech lowering springs.

My question is, what's the widest tires I can run without having the sidewall "bulging" I want to keep it as flat as possible.

I was thinking about 275/40/18 in the rears and 245/40/18 in the front, the guy at Just Tires wasn't too knowledgeable about how the tire would sit so I came here. I searched and didn't find something that helped me, so someones input would be good.

Thanks!

You could do 295/35/18 in rear.A 255/40/18 would also work in the front.
Of course, sizes per brand are a factor. How much is you car lowered?

Would a 285 sit nicely on the rim?

Umm, it's like an inch lower all around.

Return the front wheels and get another pair of 9.75's, better yet get some better wheels. Then run a 265/35 front and 285/35 rear.

I am running 18x9.75 square with 245/45/18's , looking at getting 275/35 /18 for the rear over the winter.

If I had the budget for better wheels, I would have obviously. Have other more important priorities to spend money on.

I prefer the staggered set up, but thank you for the info on the sizes =)

dont know for sure but i have the xxr 531's on my Z. not brembo but it clears them alot. I've got 18x9.5 in front and 18x11 in rear with +20 offset on all 4. No spacers. I'll try to get pics up.

My 521's should fit brembos. That is for the 18x8.5 +25 in the front, I have tons of room but I also have standard brakes.. Not sure about the 10" wide, which is the way to go, you know that...
