Default Blondegirl Needs Help :)

I just put new wheels and tires on my '08 350z (on Monday). I was told the sensors from my stock wheels were taken off and put on the new wheels. The TPMS light (!) blinks when I start the car and then stays solid. I had the sensors checked by NTB and was told the sensors are fine but that the transmitter isn't receiving the signal?

Do I need to have the system recalibrated?

It might be helpful to know I had stock 18's and put 20x8.5's on the front and 20x10's on the back. I don't know if that matters. Any insight is greatly appreciated!!!

Try taking your car to a local Nissan dealer and have then reset the sensor.

LOL on pic requests in exchange for help Very funny. I've searched this site for all TMPS/ wheels related questions and haven't found anything on the TPMS light blinking and then staying on.

Thanks again for any insight into what's going on and how to fix it!

You have to place the sensor on the wheel a certain way for the sensor receiver to pick up the signal.

though i'd like to, i wont jump on the pics or gtfo bandwagon.

you were "told" they swapped the sensors onto your new wheels? did you see them actually mount them onto the new wheels?

worst case, as you mentioned, it sounds like you might just have to start from scratch and get your whole setup recalibrated

Are the stems metal or rubber? If the stems aren't rubber then for sure they didn't switch out the TPMS.

They could have too, but unless they put the TPMS back from the same corner they came from you need to get the TPMS reset. Just go to a dealer, it should take them only a couple of minutes.

Flash teh boobage and it should be free.

OP, just visit your local Nissan dealership and have them take a look.

Welcome to the forum, BTW. Check out the TX regional forum for local events and just to chat with the local members. There's a cruise coming up this Saturday, I believe (good chance to say hi).
