Question Need opinion on tire selection

I am a new owner of a 03 350Z and the tires are shot. I am getting ready to buy tires and I would like to get opinions from real world users. I am not going to track the car just daily driving. I want something quite and decent on the wallet. These will be 19" rims on car not that it matters.

Thanks

I've been using General Tire's Exclaim UHP on my car for a few years now. I was running 245/40-18 and got 37k miles out of one set with regular rotating. They aren't the most aggressive tire on the market but hold up well for the money and are predictable.

I ran through two sets of those. Since then I've switched to a staggered set up and have been trying some other brands at the suggestion of my tire shop. I've running Toyo Proxes F-4's now and like them so far, I've got about 10k on the fronts and just had new rears put on this week. The only thing I dislike about those is that the 275/35-18 size has a larger "shoulder" than the Nexen 275 I was running and the Toyo is giving me clearance issues and is rubbing.

All of this is on an 04 GTO rather than a Z, so the clearance issue should not exist in your case.

Welcome. Wrong forum. Plenty of tire critiques in the tire forum.

On my G35 I am using Yokohama Avid Envigors all around. They are not expensive and not cheap either. On my buddys G he has Falcon Ziex ZE329 and also like these.

Sizing does matter - not all manufacturers and models come in all sizes. What is your budget for tires (remember ~$100 shipping cost and ~$125 install cost)?
