Want to change up my look... currently have normal gloss black volk gts's. Just got a quote from a reputable wheel painting place to have my wheel lips done in flat black. they said $340, including mounting and balancing.
Is that a cheap, normal, or expensive price?
And people that have done this, regret it or completely happy you did? Resale helped or hurt?
Thanks in advance

I don't know if you have any powdercoating places local, but most shops charge about 100 a wheel, and if you are just doing the barrels maybe less. This is the route I would take. Paint sometimes has a problem holding up to brake dust and road grime and will flake over time. Just my .02

Price is compairable, but pc is much more durable, and if done right you won't have fisheyes or dust specs like paint. Final product is much better IMO.
Also easier to wash and maintain. Plus it will hold up much better to rock chips.
I have seen people paint to get a color match, but if going flat black why not pc?
I think resale is better too.

It's only on one wheel and I don't believe it has anything to do with them actually being painted but more with the bad roads.
The reason that I went with painting over pc is the heat treating that is used in the pc process can affect their structural integrity of a forged wheel.
