I think a silver/grey car with purple wheels is such a great combo. Thanks for the inspiration!

I just read through this complete thread and I think I'm OK with my wheel/tire choices but I would appreciate confirmation.

I'm ready to order TE37SE's
19x9.5+22 l 19x10.5 +22
Michelin Pilot Super Sport 255/35R19 l 285/35R19

My car is not lowered at all and I just want to make sure that I will not have any clearance issues.

I also dislike it when the rim appears to be wider than the tire and the sidewalls slope out from the tread to the rim.

I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks

Based on your setup and preferences, you made the right choice. However, there is a chance your rear tires will rub slightly on the fender lip. If you go with a 275/35/19 tire on the 19x10.5 +22 wheel, then I am confident you will have no rubbing issues. Or, if you roll your rear fenders then I am confident you will have no rubbing with the 285/35/19 tires.

IMO it wouldn't look right since 18s are concave and 19's are more flat-faced with a lip.

Looking for a set in bronze. Not sure what they're called exactly, just TE37-Regular I guess?

Default Why some te-37s look different from others?

My question is stated in the title box, but I'm startled by the fact that I see some te-37 rims that look nice on some cars and some that look horrible on others. I am on the verge of ordering some te-37 knock offs which look identical to the originals but I'm very concerned that they will end up looking like sh*t. why do some look so good in some pictures and some look horrible. is there something im missing like for example
those look good but these:
don't!! someone please fill me in with the right models so I don't buy the sh*ttier ones please and thank you.

The ones on the first video are knock offs...offset, tire size and suspension play a huge part in how a wheel looks in a car

They don't look identical. Most true enthusiasts can tell the difference. There are multiple models and finishes for the authentic TE37. OG, SL, TA, Tokyo TA etc with variances in face concavity etc.

To answer your question, which many will agree with me, the knock-offs are the "sh*ttier" models.

I totally agree with BY350Z, the wheels in the first video look nothing like the ones in the second video. Simple answer is you pay for what you get. Its like buying some crap off ebay and expecting it to perform like the real thing. Don't ruin the look of your car by fitting cheap crap.
