From what i have read and heard is that you should not powdercoat forged wheels becuase the heat weakens the wheel such as the TE or CE

I have heard that is a false rumor though. Hopefully a shop/store can shed some light on that.

I personally wouldn't bother powdercoating them because they don't even come powdercoated from the manufacturer. They are painted.

Pretty sure the oven temps are only around 350-400 degrees when baking the powder on the wheels. I dont think those kinds of temps effect the structural integrity of the wheels.. .02

yeah I thought the temps needed to rearrange the molecules was like 4000 degrees or something....

edit: FWIW a quick google search gave me 1335 degrees fahrenheit as the critical temperature of steel. Who knows how reliable that number is though.
