Default Another tire size question..

If I put 275/35-19 on a 10.5" wide rim would the rim stick out further than the tire? If so, what would be a more appropriate rim width to have a flush look?

And the answer would be: Not really, but get 285/35/19's anyway.

Well, I haven't purchased the rims yet and 2nd, I was under the impression I'll have tire rub with 285s

It depends on which tires you buy, the offset of the wheels, if your car is lowered.

K. Sorry, wheel's +22 offset and depends on wheel gap I might lower an inch.

The wheel is 275mm wide.
The tire tread is 266.7mm wide.
I think the bottom of the tire will stick out a little.

+22 on 10.5", lower 1.2" on 285, you may not rub depending on tire (if so, prob only over big bumps). 1.7"-1.8" drop, you will need fender roll on 285 depending on tire brand. Im using the BFG KDW as my guide, as it is known as one of the biggest sidewalls/treads.

285 KDW on 10.5" et.22 with 1" rear drop and rear camber set to higher end of factory spec range...you will not rub.

275/35 is great for the flush look, as they are tastefully stretched on a 10.5 wheel, but to be flush you will need a 10 to 15mm spacer depending on your taste.

^ No way 10-15mm spacer....thats too much poke.

This is my buddies; 10.5" rear et.22 285/35 KDW's with no spacers. Perfect flush.

Depends on the tires, but I know Toyo T1R 285 is flush with 10" . Look for 295 or 305 for a flush look on 10.5" wheel width (however, might need fender pulled if going with 295 and above and lowered or aggressive offsets)

What size rims and tires is your buddy running up front?

He's running 19x9.5" et.22 with 255/35's, no spacers, dropped 1" in the front, and 1.2" in the rear with .5" springmount mod (so 1.7" drop in the rear).

That must be tight. My wife's ZR has 10.5" +18 with a 285 and it rubs on dips and the like (not lowered, no fender mod). I was going to change the spacer to net a +23 since it's getting lowered, but as it sits right now, it's too much spacer.

It is pretty damn tight. you can still fit a good finger between the tire/fender, but it does not rub at all with a fender roll.
