you're on heavy wheels, heavy tires and talking about running more boost and then worried about fuel economy?

you sort of have to pick a direction you want to go in and follow it..there are no free lunches. Everything is a compromise at some point

I just want to go quicker in a straight line and wish the get the best bang for the buck. When I originally bought my wheels I didn't have that priority. but now I do. The 928 impeller seems like it's going to help me more than going to ligher wheels will.

Seriously, do heavy wheels make THAT much of a difference?

In a word:
"YES"

I have yet to see any kind of proof. The only proof shown here says otherwise.

I dunno, he only made 323 with a 2.87 pulley as his baseline. That's like 3.33 pulley power.

His 928m pull reflected a typical 2.87 pulley pull. We need a car that makes the typical ~370-400 with a 2.87 to do a comparison. Not an outlier.

Grassrootsmotorsports did a wheel thing and did an artical with tires on different size wheels. Good reading if you can find it.

atleast we know that WE made the car slow , but i would agree that 20's DO make THAT much of a difference.....

like adam said above, you need to pick one direction and take the pros and cons.... GL OP

Hmm...I never saw that topic. It's more than I though. I already bought the impeller and it should make me faster than changing out wheels regardless...but a wheel change is likely soon.

from my experience wheel weight makes a huge noticible difference on and off track.
