Tire pressure reading out of whack?
I'm really hoping I don't get flamed for this, but something tells me I will.
My low tire pressure indicator went off a few weeks ago. I stopped in at a gas station to check the pressure and refill accordingly. I've done this before and been able to follow the reading to determine which tire needs air very easily.
However, this time, it was all out of whack. It would say one tire is low on air, but the actual position of the tire it was talking about was completely different. It took me forever to figure out which tires matched up with readings.
I had the car worked on a few months ago (rear axle clicking). I'm just curious how these damn sensors work and what could be causing it. If you rotate your tires does it throw this out of whack?
Thx for any help
