To those who are cambered and lowered.....
To the guys that are running some negative camber and lowered, are you getting horrible tire noise?
I'm dropped on DF210's running about -2.5 camber front and rear with 245/35 275/35 tires. I am getting horrible tire noise. Just a constant drone that sounds like a off road truck. Ive ran Nitto Neogens and Nankang Ultra Sports both with truck like noise.
Any of you guys getting a quiet ride? If so, what's the secret? Some guys tell me it's cuz I'm cambered on 35 series tires but some other guys say camber and sidewall dont have anything to do with it.

In my experience, It has alot to do with tire selection! I was rolling on kdw's which are very popular on this forum and couldn't stand the noise. So, I ended up selling them and actually bought cheaper tires that where quieter. Actually the nitto's are usually quieter than other tires. Also, -2.5 degrees of camber is quite a bit. Also, make sure that your toe is in-line. If it is not your tires will be fighting each other and making a loud humming noise.

the tires themselves have alot to do with it.. but the noise issue comes from toe.. and feathering.. and cuases the brunt of tire wear on our car, espec when lowered. Im down on stance lx, camber bar in rear, and nothng did more for my tire wear n noise like my toe delete bolts in the rear and a high end alignment.
im at zero toe in rear and -1.5 camber.. now i get to keep my tires around like a normla person.
I suspect this is your numebr ONE issue, tire choice is surely number two.

better tires that can deal with camber, and running less camber in the first place
-2.5, on those tires, on a street car, when all you're running is a set of springs is an excercise in futility. Replace your tires, set the camber back to the nominal range of the factory service manual, and all will be right with the world once again
