you can only tell with real human eye. camera cant cature the purple ish coat

 

Your camera definitely caught the purple hue for me at least. Best bet would be to email a place that knows that they are talking about with detailed pics to see if they can give any insight.

 

I never understood why people use anything other than soap and water on a wheel? I'm gonna say it's the wax creating the purple hue. Use some dawn liquid soap and was the wheel off, this will strip it of any waxes on the wheel and then compare.

And stop using anything but soap and water to wash your wheels.

 

You have it backwards brocifer, the wheels originally came with a purple hue since they were anodized.

I might have to disagree with you on the dish soap since it may strip more than just the wax and could possible damage the finish. I still think he needs to just wash it with soap and water again to be determine his next step.
