Default tire cables

I live in Kansas City and we don't get much snow; however, we all know how bad the Z is in any snow with the stock tires. I bought a set of used snow tires, but am reluctant to install them for the 4 or 5 days a year the snow would be a problem.

I am considering tire chains (actually tire cables) instead of mounting the snow tires. Has anyone had any experience with them? $70 for all four tires and seem to be a reasonable answer to driving your Z in light snow areas.

did u find out anything about cables? im going on a ski trip next week and i might have to take the Z, as far as i kno, the stock tires are absolutely worthless in snow weather, so snow cables/chains are in play here, how was your experience w/ them?

Look in the hand book, I am almost positive it says no chains.

Chain is required over here for Tahoe Area. THey won't let your Z go even if you have snow tires.

I second King Tut comment. Rent a car.
