Oh, yeah?? I've read that heating aluminum to temperatures used for curing powder coatings can cause weakening of some alloys. Whether or not this is a problem depends on the alloy used for your wheels, and the time/temperature used for the PC cure.

There may also be an issue with cleaning. Some PC places use a caustic cleaning process that's not compatible with aluminum alloys.

Did you know about, ask questions, or research these issues before having the parts done?

Yes i researched and i read the ball wax u just gave me, when asking my powdercoater he laughed. Its not cured in high heat it was heated for a few days at lower temp in warehouse sized oven.
Yes cleaning needs to be only soap and water.

The manifold is a ***** its got swirls and scratches from rags. So yea i wish i had done crinkle black.

I wanted to mention to im not tracking this car its been dyno'd only 260rwhp and its a dd. This job wasnt newly done as its been on my car for atleast 6 months.

I failed to mention , no caustic cleaners were used before powdercoating. Instead they were sandblasted
