Question Winter Tire sizes

Trying to find a set of winter tires for my Performance 350z and it's getting frustrating!

I want to go with 17" wheels/tires so that I can still clear a 13" Big Brake upgrade planned for the future and save paying big bucks for a 18" tire/wheel package.

So far, I've gotten mixed signals from a couple of tire vendors regarding fitment of the following:
225/55/17 Front
235/55/17 Rear
One place said the 235/55/17 rears wouldn't fit because they were too tall??? Doesn't sound right to me.

Appreciate if someone can confirm or deny if this package will work. From the size calcualtors it looks like this combination would be ok for the traction control.

Thanks

Closest to stock (225-45-18 & 245-45-18) is 225-50-17 and 225-55-17, they are off by a couple of millimeters....

Thanks for the reply.

If the tire size calculator I'm using is correct, that scenario would create problems for the traction control.

Front Diameter = 25.9
Rear Diameter = 27.2

A difference of 1.3 inches, which is well outside the .75 inch guidleline for the traction control.

Anyone else tried a 235/55/17 rear? Did it fit?

Thanks
