Default TPMS sensor differences between 06-07

I know in 07+ the tpms changed and does not show the actual PSI of each tire, but did the valve stem sensors change?

If I swapped on a set of 07+ wheels with the factory sensors, will they communicate and display the PSI readings on my 06 display after sync-ing them up?

Or another way to verify my question... does anyone know if the part numbers between the 06 TMPS and 07+ TMPS sensors are the same?

look it up on courtesyparts dot com

If the part number is the same, then my guess is they are the compatible or the same part.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-pa...5_800_805.html

just checked there, and it only lists 40311 for all wheels, which looks like a standard valve stem, thanks for the suggestion though..

The change in the sensors has nothing to do with the display. That was a change is in computer functionality.

There are two different models of sensors, but all of them work in all 350Z models. I.e., a 03 sensor works in an 07, an 06 sensor works in an 03.

It's all been covered by the sticky at the top of the forum.

I read that section, but didn't find an answer to my question there, did I miss it?

My bad - I thought I had gone back and added the note about the compatibility between different years after it had been verified both ways.

I looked at the faq & searched and did not see this.

I just installed an 08 upper dash with gauges on my 06 and have no TPMS display. Did they remove the individual wheel readout?

I guess I need to swap the gauges if so. I like being able to see individual PSI.

Who knew, 08 center gauges don't have TPMS readout. I swapped the original gauges back in individual PSI readout is back.

Perhaps add this to the faq?
