Alternative for Blizzaks?
I can't seem to find any LM-22s for my 6 speed Touring. I've been told that the Dunlop Sport Winter M3 isn't a bad option. Can anyone give me some input on that tire or an alternative? Also, I didn't want to go down to a 17" rim, but I might have to. Any help is appreciated.
I'm in a similar situation as you. I've already decided to go the 17" route due to limited availability and high cost of the 18" LM-22s.
On my previous car, Audi TT Quattro, I had Pirelli 210 Snowsports. Great tire, but expensive.
Dunlops will probably be the way I go as well.
Good luck with your search.

DPK,
Couldn't help but notice you're in MA...have you tried looking at Town Fair Tire? I just had a set of 17" LM-22's installed there this morning. Placed the order this past Monday, and they had them in today. I'm not sure what they've got as far as 18" Blizzaks go, but if you decide to bite the bullet and drop down a size, they'll probably be able to get you the 17"s pretty easily.
Just my $0.02...feel free to PM me with ?'s

I am running Pirelli Snow-sports 240s, 225/40/18 in the front and 245/45/18 for the rear on my G35C. Excellent tires and no issues with VDC. This is my second winter on them and I can't be happier with their performance.
