Default Will 370z TPMS work in a 350z?

Does anyone know? I'm about to mount tires on my 370z wheels which came with their oem TPMS sensors, but will they work or do I have to have my winters taken off my 350z wheels and have the sensors moved over?

To answer my own question - and in case someone finds this thread while searching to find the answer themselves, the part numbers are different and Nissan does not believe they will work.

I agree - I see no reason why they would work.

Eh I'm putting 370Z wheels on my 350, I guess I was hoping with one model year difference they just used the same part, which would save me from pulling the TPMS out of the 350Z wheels... one of those 'it never hurts to ask' scenarios.

Nope, it's a fact. Two totally different part numbers. Plus it's been tried and failed. Also, the ones from a GTR don't work on the 350.

I'm Not Completely Sure if they work on a 350z but I'm 100% positive the GTR TPMS sensor work on a 370z, A 370z Customer Came in with stock R35 Wheels and all i had to do was program the sensors to the BCM with the Signal Tech 2.So Different Part Numbers don't really Matter all the Time!

So I don't see why 370z tpms won't work on a 350z.

Well, if that's true it saves me headache and money but I don't see what part number has to do with it. The 350 was made from 03-09, so I would imagine there would be TPMS for those with different part #'s. I have an 08 made late 08 and 09 Nismo wheels made late 08, so it's possible they could be the same. ...that was a guess.

If it's true, that means I have to fish out the old ones. What a PIA or labor x 8. I wonder if it's doable without popping the tire off the bead? Deflating, stepping on it, unscrewing the stem, etc?

From what I remember reading, yes, GTR TPMS will work on 370 and vice-versa.

True, the part numbers are not the determining factor. Actually, there are different versions of the TPMS for 03-05 and 06-09 350Zs but they work across all years. The 370Z TPMS are a new generation of sensors and will not work on any year 350Z.

Well I went in to the dealer for a recall notice and was told there was no recalls. I asked about the seat belt Srvcbull and was told that was for Altima and never for 350Z. I guess some service guys are a lot worse then others. I asked if they could sync up the TPMS and he said he would have to ask and was told they were different part #'s. I said Yes I know, I told you so but part # makes no difference as 350Z TPMS will have different part #'s. They said they could try and still charge me $110 if it didn't work. I called two other dealers and was quoted $120. Seriously, an hour at an attorney's rate!

I called the local tire shop that previously said they could do it no problem and were even willing to call in the guy on Saturday on his day off but someone else answered and said it was impossible as they are two completely different cars with different computers. I would have to buy new ones. I said no, I want these synced and I could always swap out the originals. He said no, they won't work on 370Z wheels.

I really don't want to deal with people that have the IQ of a politician. If someone knows how to remove the lower panels on the passenger side to get to the learn mode connector please post!

I don't remember the exact details, but you have to remove the cup holder then a screw/bolt behind it. There's also one on the bottom right near the kick panel that you have to take the kick panel off to get to. Probably one under the left side IIRC.

I used the FSM for details of what is connected to where to figure it out.

i know the 370z will not work on the 350z. what i asked was whether 350z sensors will mount onto the 370z wheel. cant seem to find anyone who has tried. the angle looks to be the same so i dont see why not but you never know!
