Default Will these tires pass safety?

These are the front ones, I am thinking of getting this car. Will these tires go thru safety?

If not, is it a good idea to strap on some used tires to pass safety?

I'd replace them soon.

as far as i understand, to pass safety here in Canada you need more than 2/32, which is where the wear indicator lines are. The tread looks higher than that, maybe 4/32 so i think it should pass. But you will need to replace them soon.

Depends on what the tread depth law is where you live. Also can't really tell from these pictures. I would need to measure them in person with my tire tread depth gauge.

They will not pass my350z.com/ saftey standards which are some of the most stringent in the world.

At 4/32nd's they lose a lot of their wet and all season ability, at 2/32nd's they legally have to come off. May want to have the depth checked locally, most shops will do so for free, to make sure.

Heres a link from tire racks website that I thought was helpful. Use the information above to make your decision.
