I and other members have posted “How to buy on the internet" threads. We also have several "Internet buying horror stories" which are very enlightening. Read and learn.

Where ever you buy from doesn't matter, the wheel specs are what matters.

not all the time online is a smart way to do it... example if you buy an item from an online retailer and something is wrong with the item the moment you receive it. The online retailer can disappear on you... or just tells you to go complain to the manufacturer. The manufacturer will tell you to talk to the retailer you bought it from. Then you'd have to ship back and forth blah blah... as much as possible I'd buy from certified dealer and at an actual location.

I've seen this happened a lot before... some online retailers leaving you in the dark. I use to work for a manufacturer/distributor before...

Here is a summary:

a. Many online retailers do not stock wheels. They are simply intermediaries who will take your money, then ship from another source.

b. Always pay by credit card. If there is a problem, a good credit card will negotiate getting your money back.

c. The infinite backorder. Goes something like this:

We will ship in 30 days.

We will ship in 30 days.

We will ship in 30 days.

Goes on forever. You may avoid this with a written statement such as “ If you cannot ship on on before blank, cancel my order and return my money immediately.”

d. email notification such as “We have had a recent price increase.” Cancel your order immediately.

e. Telephone changes AFTER your place your order. Be smart. Order in WRITING. Do not change your order.
