please don't paint your stock rim black or any other color it'll look tacky. your car will look 100% better with a nice set of after market rims a wide one at that. and as far as color goes i don't think black will enhance your red car, go with polished aluminium or satin and no chrome please! only color car that would benefit from having black rims are the white z's with dark tint and smoked tail light.(thats how my car is set up)
OP- I have a red z with black wheels, but they are rfp1s. Just keep them stock and save up to buy better wheels

my advice would be determined by what stock wheel you have. there is one stock wheel that I think isn't even worth the time.
maybe try getting a set of used spacers and doing the wheels in white.
and yes it is hard to keep clean and if you are lazy then do the black or some dark color.

Wow thats pretty bold statement man.. that look is actualy not very popular on here lately.. its very 1991 looking IMO.
But to each his own.
OP.. I will find you a picture. I will GOOGLE it for you.. haha, this is your only repreive..do it yourself next time.
NON OEM, but gives you some ideas.
Heres a nice car sporting the reccomedned finsih from our other poster.. not as cool IMO.
Having your stock wheels PROFESSIONALLY painted is a GREAT idea.
In fact, you can usually have them powdercoated for far less w better results. Id imagine it costing you 45-60 a wheel w the tires off of course.
so for 2 sets of VERY good spacers and all 4 wheels powdercoated, and remounted, youre probably looking at 500 bucks .. no too shabby.
