Finally got Wheels! Racing Hart/RH evolution J8
After 3 years of lurking the forums I finally came across a good deal at a deli. I walked into Jason's Deli for a sandwich but I ended up buying wheels. lol I ran into an ex Z owner who still had these and needed to sell them. Got these pretty cheap. Tires are brand new too. Paid $1100. The barrels needed a lot of polish work and elbow grease. I think some sort of cheap wheel cleaner was used that stained them. Cant really see them unless you get close. I think I'll eventually get them refinished or powder coated. But I think they look good enough for now.
Specs:
19" 9.5 +26 F (245/35) // 19 10.5 +26 (275/35)

My brief research:
Exhibit A: http://www.wheelwarehouse.com/m-76-r...rt-wheels.aspx
"The RH EVO (evolution) brand are not Racing Hart wheels but this line RH EVO is licensed from the same designers as most of the Racing Hart line. As for the country of origin - JAPAN is the birthplace for Racing Hart / RH EVO. Racing Hart is known as Sprint Hart in Japan."

Yeah, I was hoping someone could shed some light about that. I searched just for a bit and it seems that these and a few others were made for RH by racing hart or something like that. But yes I do know RH doesnt stand for racing hart.

RH Evolution was Dazz Motorsports' own brand, which IIRC were produced in Taiwan. Racing Hart wheels are manufactured in Japan by a Japan-based company.
Dazz is now out of business, but they were the sole US distributor for Racing Hart. Takechi Project (Racing Hart/Sprint Hart/Lowenhart/Eurohart/Maya/etc) accepted a licensing agreement with Dazz that allowed Dazz to sell their own wheel line, called RH Evolution. Dazz and other wheel shops benefited from the confusion by making it seem as though RH Evo and Racing Hart are the same company, or that RH Evo are the one-piece models and the Racing Harts are the multi-piece line, blah blah blah. It's all BS.
Years ago Dazz did the same thing with the German-brand Brabus; they licensed that name and made their own wheels under the name "Brabus Sport". Brabus had absolutely nothing to do with Brabus Sport.
Anyway, there were exceptions; RH Evo had a "Pro" line that was a true multi-piece (albeit cast wheels instead of forged), and they have worked with Racing Hart to offer Japan-built models just like Axis has worked with Rays...which of course kind of blurs the lines. RH Evo had one forged wheel as well. I'm not saying that RH Evos are ****, they just aren't on the same level as Racing Hart. They are built by two different companies, in two different factories, in two different countries.
For what it's worth though I really like the J8s. Great looking wheel, and they look awesome on your car. Enjoy them!

^ thanks for the info ****. Haha. Nice name!
It was hard to find any info. I only wanted to know how they were built and whether or not they were discontinued in case I ever needed a replacement. The guy I bought them for said they were racing hart but I didn't see anything on the wheel that said racing hart. It does say japan tho.
Either way I love how they look and the price was right. I'll probably have them refinished by next spring.

Looks good. I suggest using wheel wizard in Greenville for the repaint.they did mine and a couple guys I used to work with. They can even repair curb damage. Don't wanna scare you but it's prob not a stain.it's prob where the wheel cleaner took off the layer of paint. I thought mine were the same way but no amount of buffing would clean it up.
Can't tell in the pics though just run with it!

Love these wheels. Racing hart don't get the respect they deserve. I love mine, and spent alot on them new, but they seem to sit in the shadow of volk wheels. Good ol brand marketting. Congrats!
