found these on craigslist, dont know if they are an older style or something. they look like them but i see a few differeneces in these and what im finding on the internet.
if they are i could get my hands on them for a good price and clean them up

damnit. any one have any clue? i like them. one rim has a crack inside the tire(can be fixed by a wheel repair) he wants 750 with tires.

 

NO those are not GTC's...youd be looking at at least $2k for volks with tires

 

I would seriously pass on those. Save a little bit more and check out the marketplace.

 

ill probably hold on them, zerafian, the reason i was asking is because he didnt know the brand. was hoping he was a dummy that didnt know what he had. i know volks are typically expensive lol.

 

nope these are not GTC the spokes are too thin and the bolts on the barrels are way off.

 

I used to own GTCs.

The ones posted are MSR 088 wheels, the rivets are decorative as they are not a true 2 or 3 piece wheel.

 

plus those tires are shot. just save the money, you can pick up volks with better tires for less than 2k.. just be patient and look around. and you may have to get clever if you're not patient. I started looking at used 350z's on CL to see if any of them were interested in trading stocks and cash for their volks that they weren't going to get any money out of anyway and it worked first try.

 

wow is that a full polished gtc? ive never seen that before. do they offer them like that? i personallly like the full polished look. i know most dont like chrome, but polished offers a different look imo. i think the main reason people dont like chrome is becuase shitty style wheels are offered for the z.

owner doesnt know the namebrand. but per mr. sparco and looking up on the internet they seem to be MSR 088 wheels

I had mine posted on here for several weeks with no bites for only 1300 with brand new tires. This was at the peak of the economy downfall though.

 

Anyone who pays 3k for used volks is an idiot.
