Default Anyone have pics of a 350 running TSW Interlagos?

I'm torn right now between picking up a set of Axis Shines or TSW Interlagos. I think the shines look better, but I'm really liking the fact that the Interlagos are rotary forged and 7 pounds lighter per rim. I'd also prefer 18" v.s. the 19" Shines.

I'm leaning towards the TSW's, but I'd really like to see a picture of a Z with them on it. Anyone running Interlagos or have a link to a pic?

both are fairly sub par wheels... but AXIS all day long over the TSW.. TSW is unbelievably heavy. far far more than they should be. and far more than your stock wheels. It makes a giant difference on our cars.
My axis werent too bad, 28lbs for a 20x9. same thing in tsw? 33 lbs. ick.

just trying to be helpful, not trying to rain on yer parade.
My AXIS went bye bye tho.. on to better.

I don't doubt that what you're saying is most likely true for other TSW rims, but I'm afraid you're uninformed in regards to the Interlagos. They weigh 19.45 lbs for the front and 19.9 lbs for the rear. That's 6-7 lbs lighter per rim than the Shines. Also, the Shines are cast and the Interlagos are forged.

I don't have stock wheels in any case. I'm replacing the 20" XXR 006 rims the guy who owned the car before me put on.

Edit: As for them being sub par, I'm just going to have to live with that. I decided that I have far better things to spend my money on than a set of Volks or HRE's. I'm not trying impress anyone, just enjoy my car.

I'm to lazy to look it up , but please post the size and offset of the TSW's you want. Include width. Price, would also be nice so we know your price range if we need to recoment other wheels.

I'm still deciding on exact sizing and offset. I like the stance and clearance now and would like to keep as close to it as possible. I believe, but still need to confirm, the rims on there now are 20x8.5 35mm and 20x10 35mm. I'm considering 18x8 35mm and 18x9.5 40mm.

Looking to spend around a grand give or take.

I really just want to see a picture to see if I like the way they look on the Z though. I guess, when it really comes down to it, any flat black symmetrical 9 spoke would look similar enough to give me an idea.

Edit: I'm opting for more outer clearance if I can't get an exact match. My Z is lowered and it's pretty tight right now. I still have to get the camber adjusted since the previous owner never did that when he lowered it. I don't need the extra expense to roll fenders.

Get the 18x10.5 +27 rears and run a 18x9.5 +40 up front with a 15mm spacer. This set up you will not rub.

Forged 18x10.5s available for about a grand a set? I smell a new track wheel. Wonder how strong these are...

It is something outside the norm in the Z community. I look forward to seeing how they look in the end if you decide to pull the trigger.

FYI: Rotary forged is not the same as being forged. It's a fancy way of saying it's cast. Granted, it's a little lighter than regular cast wheels but still not a light weight forged monoblock. I found this out when looking into buying Forgestar wheels.

what's the actual weight of the rims? saying it's 7lbs lighter compared to a heavy rim isn't saying much. Not hating here, just trying to make sure you get all the facts out before people pull the trigger and buy these and then be disappointed when they get a wheel that's not under 20lbs.

If it's at all similar to the MAT process Enkei uses, it will make for some really good track wheels (ala RPF1)

They're within a pound or two of a legit forged monoblock and they cost roughly 1/2 to 1/3 of the price.

I may consider these for my SC when the motors done...

I linked to TSW's page listing the weights earlier in the thread.

Get used to it.. if I had a quarter for every time Dave said that line, I wouldn't be driving a Z.

Historically, yes, these are much lighter. 18x10.5 +27 circa 21#.

Actually, it may not have been on a Z. For once, you are correct!

How about the 10.5 +27 up front, too! Come on, you know it'll fit, especially with a big tire! May need a tiny spacer, though my camber helps.

Hopefully a great track wheel. Especially since they are so cheap, they may be worth the risk.

Might found out soon! With the Enkeis, the lower offset wheels are a tad heavier (like the +15 RPF1 vs the +38) since there is more metal to make up the offset space. With wheels that are made like this, the lower offset is usually heavier due to this reason.

I haven't ordered a set yet. I just got my old car listed and it's sale is financing the purchase. Had one offer already, so I should have it sold soon. I expect I'll have the rims on in the next month.

My set should be here in two days.
