Volk Center Caps Fixed!
Hey guys,
I bought my Volk wheels a few weeks ago and was disappointed with how cracked and faded the center caps looked. I looked on Ebay and saw these exact ones going for 200+ dollars and I was like "Screw that". One of the members here actually offered all four used to me for 100, and I almost went that way. Before biting the bullet and buying them though, I decided to try to fix the ones I had since I had this safety net.
The first picture is how it used to be. I don't know if you can see it that well since it is a lower quality pic, but it looked horrible. The V and the R were faded and cracked everywhere. I didn't even want to put it on the car.
The second picture is how it came out after I repainted it. It was really simple to do and I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out. The paint is a bit duller than the norm, but MUCH better than how it looked before. It doesn't really match the other OEM cap colors so I had to do this to all four. Still, Im very satisfied with the outcome.
If there is some interest, let me know and I will make a small DIY for this.

Lol, EXACTLY what I did. If anyone needs to know, I used Duplicolor Chrome Paint, taped the **** out of everything with masking tape, and used a box cutter to cut out the indents of the letters. Worked out much better than I had hoped.
I'm glad everyone liked the job I did. Usually, stuff like this NEVER works out for me, definitely was a pleasant surprise!
