Default Wheel Suggestions Anyone?

I've been looking for months for wheels, but I'm new-ish to the car scene and I'm wondering if I'm overlooking some good wheels or not looking in the right places. And yes...I have used the "Search" box and Google til my eyes bled.

I had my heart set on the Work CR Kai in Sports Bronze, but they don't offer them in 19". I recently lowered my car on Sportlines on my stock 17" wheels and I just got my Aerosync Bumper in which is about 2" lower than the stock bumper. I can't even put it on right now because it would have half an inch clearance. (I live in backwoods AL...I would lose that bumper before I made it a mile down the road.) So I really wanted to get 19" just for that little bit of extra room.

I'm loving the BBS LM look, but they are a bit high for me even used. I'm not looking to go over 2,000 on the wheels. I was just wondering if anyone felt like throwing out suggestions for some quality wheels I haven't thought or heard of yet.

Varrstoen, ESM, and Linea Corse make BBS LM replicas that would fit your budget.

Depending on your tire size you might not gain any ground clearance by using 19's.

I looked at the Varrstoens but I'm really grinding my teeth about getting replicas. I've heard lots of negatives and not enough positives about them. But I'm an aftermarket wheel newbie so maybe I'll try and learn for myself.

Wheels are not going to lift your car any higher off the ground. 17, 18 or 19 doesn't matter when you have the proper size tire.

If you want to avoid running huge tires that mess up your car's dynamics, you'll need to raise it with springs or coilovers. The Z can look good with wheels sized 17-20", depending on who you ask.

just make sure your front end is short like the OEM nose of the car.. when you start looking at VS, Ings long nose, etc, then it makes driving a bit trickier.. but to be honest.. unless the car is bone stock, a body kit doesnt change the way you drive it that much.. if it does,, maybe just spring for inexpensive lip kits that can be replaced..

either way.. OP at least sounds like hes looking at real wheels.
Take a look at Forgestar as well, they are incredibly light, and thats the main thing you should focus on.. do not get overly heavy wheels for a 350z.

Thanks for the feedback. And I know I might not get much lift, but I'll take what I can get I suppose. Obviously I should have thought about this before I lowered the car this much, but oh well!

haha and yes..."she" is looking at real wheels. Ideally I'd love to get some te37s and paint them hot pink! I'm just too scared I would spend that much money and get bored with looking at pink all the time!

I think you misunderstand the relationship between "low" and wheel diameter. You can go with 18 or 19 inch wheels, for example, but you will want to match OEM tire height. So 17 or 20 inch wheels overall tire height will be the same. Neither will give you "more room."

$600 over your budget but its a great set of wheels. not the most favorable offsets but you can make them work - imo.
