Default Performance difference between Track V1 and V2/Nismo?

I am reading up on the specs of the track V1s and i notice they are way, way lighter at 18lbs then the track V2s/nismo, which way 21 (front) and 29 (rear). My current touring v2s are 24/25.

So my question is, if i get track v1s, will i notice quicker acceleration? I know its a few pounds, but thats a few pounds every rotation, so im not sure if its noticeable.

You won't notice it, you may feel a bit different but really it pertains to tires.

go with the 18's if you care about performance over looks. you can get a pair of stickier tires cheaper in 18's than you can in 19's.

Much better off buying a nice set of RPF1's for the track in 18 front and rear. Much lighter wheel, and with the 18 inch rear you open yourself up to better tire selection.

I believed he was talking about street application so i was talking about that. On the track of course hence why i have a pair of RPF1s laying around but on the street its all feel the same to me sub 3000 rpm any ways.

Ah yeah good point. A set of 18 x 8.5 RPF1's are 18lbs as well just like the Track V1's. Go wider and you'll tack a tad bit more weight. For track purposes the RPF1 would be my choice in an 18 to get a wider stickier tire. Track editions would be good all around with a decent tire. I've auto-x'ed mine on the track wheels with the potenza's and it still did fine

You can't compare rotating mass (such as lightweight wheels) to non rotating mass (body kits) Losing weight on things connected to the drive train will be much more noticeable than something that is not.

Will you notice a 14lb loss on a 3300lb car? More than likely no.

So besides the track 18lbs, what are other quality lightweight rims? the price for 4 has to be less then $800 for this to be worth my while

$200 a wheel and quality don't typically go together. Try the marketplace I guess?

RPF1 but they are around $400 more, but you will get a 9.5 front and 10.5 rear and be able to run much wider tires than you can on the 8 and 8.5 V1 track wheels.

WRONG. Its not about rotating mass, its unsprung weight.(Anyways rotating mass inertia does make a much higher difference than not rotating). There is a huge difference in sprung weight and UNSPRUNG weight. Losing a few pounds on unsprung weight i.e. wheels, tires, brakes, ect., will have a much greater effect than losing a few pounds on the car(for comparison). Many people go by a rule of thumb of losing 5 pounds/wheel(20 lbs overall) is equivalent to losing 200 lbs on the body.

Simply put, the less the wheels weigh, the more power gets put to the road to propel the car i.e. less power is used to rotate the wheels

For your application, I would say V1 wheels would be a great option. XXR's are cheaply made and do not even compare to forged aluminum V1's. If you are looking for a light wheel that can be had pretty cheap for what it is, look in the marketplace for V1 track wheels. That would be your best option

The difference will be negligible from your current setup.

There is a difference between rotating mass and unsprung weight, wheels happen to be both. Rotating mass will make the most significant difference, unsprung weight will make little difference and most will not be able to feel it.

Do yourself a favor and wait, do not buy wheels to fit your micro sized tires. Tires come and go, wheels can stay the same.

and wider tires are better of more traction, in addition to looks? keep in mind, the tires are basically brand new, so we are talking years here before i get new rims. at that point, ill probably wont be caring about what rims/wheels my car has.
