Question Extreme Wheel/Tire Fitment ?

Hey guys iv contacted James over at Weldcraft wanting some work done to my Sportmax XXR 521 Wheels. Right now im running the 521's 18x10 +25 in the rear with Falken Azenis K series 315-30-18s, dropped on Tein S Tech springs with my rear fenders rolled. Iv had absolutely no problems with this setup, no rubbing at all not even close to it. I contacted James because i want him to add 2.5 inches onto my wheels which he said he could do easily. I want them to be 18x12.5 +25 so i can run the MT ET Streets 345-30-18. Now my question is will i run into any severe problems with the wheels and tires being that wide that they are? I just want to make sure everything fits before i go ahead and do this. If anyone has any sort of experience with running such an agressive wheel/tire setup please chime in. I'm not on here often but ill try to check in to see if anyone replies to my post or if you guys can try to shoot me an email if i dont go on here, my email is setup to my Iphone and will notify me as soon as i get one. getmoney805@yahoo.com. Thanks guys! =)

Buy the 345's , see if they actually fit under the fender.

Return them unmounted when you figure out it is not possible without rear overfenders and cutting of the stock fenders.

Sounds like a plan! Im kind of leaning over towards that it will work because I'm no where close to being 'slammed' and i have a good 3-4 gap between the top of my tires and my fenders. The offset of my wheels actually helps me also because there not to low so they arnt exactly pefectly flush. It would probably be pretty close to a nice width sized work wheel with a very low or negative offset. I REALLY want to be able to rock this setup so i can make the car have a very aggressive street stance. I mean come on a 350z with 345mm drag radials in the rear has to be orgasmic looking. And maybe the fact that i need some sort of grip so i can spray off the line

I'm curious about how he'd safely add that extra width and have them remain 18s.

Terrasmak's good advice aside: grip off the line is based both on heat and width. The wider the tires, the more you have to heat them up. I think the FI guys do second or third gear burnouts. I don't believe 345s would benefit you much with what I'm assuming to be about 375-400lbs/ft and 350hp on a 100 shot. If you want them for the street stance that's one thing, however just going wider will not achieve better launches.

it wont work. he adds 2.5" of width on the inside of the rim. you new rims will be 18x12.5 +57

You will have to add a 2.5" (65mm!) spacer to maintain the +25 offset.
That would be the same outer position as an 18x10 -7. so almost 1.5" further sticking out than your current setup

Weldcraft widen my wheels and without a big spacer, you will rub on the suspension.
My final is 18x11 +27 with a 305 and it barely clears the suspension and also sits flush with the fender. To get the same inner clearance on a 12.5" rim, your final specs would have to be at minimum 18x12.5 +8 and you would still be sticking 38mm further out.

I have already moved your previous thread to this Aggressive Wheels & Fat Tires thread:

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...es-thread.html

Any additional questions should be asked there since that is the correct place for it and it's already been discussed hundreds of times....
