Federal ss595 Tires
Anyone runnin' on Federal ss595's or the new model 595 tires? If so, what do you think of them? They are the cheapest money wise of any tire I can find, but the reviews I have found on them are through the roof, even being ranked as the #3 tire on the Drift Circuit in Japan. Is it possible they could be that good of a quality for such a low price?

I found 245/40/18 on sale for $89 a tire. Through my research looks like they usually run around $95 a tire for this size. That does not include mounting and balancing, that's just per tire price. Just google them.

Federal Corporation is a Taiwan based tire manufacturer, headquartered in Taoyuan, Jhongli City, Taiwan. Today, it operates under the name of Federal Group which includes marketing, real estate divisions, and two tire manufacturing plants: original plant in Jhongli, Taiwan and 100% owned plant in China, Jiangxi, Nanchang (acquired in 1997).
The company has two major brands: Federal Tires and Hero Tires. The Federal brand is aimed at positioning on global market, and Hero is mostly targeted to the internal market of mainland China.

That statement is so true Dav! Guess I will just have to give'em a try and decide for myself. I definitly don't believe a tire has to cost $200 to be a good tire though, unless a person is just a label *****!
Like I said..read several reviews on forums...it definitely handles well based on the reviews I've seen. Just a bit noisy.
My new Acme Racing tires are crap!
Besides how many members are pushing tires to the limit? Autocross? HPDE? For example Michelin Pilot Super Sport is an overall excellent tire. But for conservative street driving I think it is overkill.
Old post bump.
I'm considering getting Federals, I can get a whole set for $601.00 shipped, compared to the Hankook v12s I want for $833.00 shipped.
I'm thinking about getting Federal SS-595 in the front and Federal 595 EVO in the rear.
I read some reviews say they aren't too good in the rain though. Is this true? For an extra $232.00 I might consider tires that I know will perform in wet conditions.

595's are fantastic, I have been using them for years. sucks for the z i have trouble finding the sizes i want in 19s, and they are getting way more popular so there can be shortages at times...but they are all i will buy if i have a choice. i used azenis for fronts for a bit, but meh. i have 595s up front for my z, havnt driven on them yet since i just had them mounted.
never really drove on them in rain or bad weather.

Not meaning to Thread Jack, but I have found a staggered OEM setup, 225/45/18f, and 245/45/18r for $441 shipped to my house. Another $80ish for Mounting and Balancing is needed. Will make a new thread involving reviews, tire info, and pics for those of you wanting to know : )
Just finally ordered a set of the Federal ss595's today. Size 245/40/18 shipped to the door for $445. I am going to be Autoxing these starting on the 25th of March. Will post my thoughts and review on them in the next few weeks!
