Default Advise on wheels

I just bought a 2003 350z. It already had 20 inch wheels installed that I cant find anywhere. They just say SAINT. I think they look decent but I would like some wider wheels in the back with a bigger offset. Any advise on an affordable wheel set and size would be great. Thank you!

We have an entire sub forum dedicated to rims, tires, offsets, specs. Good thinking on ditching those wheels. You want lower offsets not 'bigger.'

I believe your wheels are made by HERO.I've seen e'm in chrome.
Have the centers been painted?
What is affordable?
You are asking a rather broad question.
What style do you like, budget ?
I think your idea of offset is backwards.
IMO,19's are the max size wheel for a Z.Its about perfect in size to balance
with the design of the car...unless you are planning to track your car.

I'd get Varrstoen as they are pretty much replica of Volks and you can get them for ~$1200 @ 19" setup

Get the highest positive offset that can clear suspension and the widest wheels that clears your fenders for the widest possible tire. It's just more better

First of all thank you for clearing up he offset thing. As you can tell Im new to this. You are right the wheels are made by HERO. Im guessing they were powder coated a while back. I dont have too much money to throw down on wheels right now so Im gonna try to find the same wheels but wider with a SMALLER offset and see how that looks. The car only has 40,000 on it, and its extremely clean. I think I got a pretty good deal at 12,500. Its fully dynomated with a $5,000 kenwood sound system and double din.

If that sound system is really worth $5000.00, then you have the option to sell some of the components and you can get yourself a descent wheel set. You can still live with a way cheaper Audio option. Remember, the $5000.00 sound system is not visible to anyone. Your wheels are.

All ya gotta do is google image fake wheels to see the disaster cheap suspension components cause. Dont buy fake or cheap parts.

fake wheels r fine, its when the fake wheels were mold cast after a thinned out forged original wheel that the problems arise.
Buy fakes w big fat giant spoke that weigh a ton, then youl be ok.. hee hee.

As JCITY stated, only a small portion of Z's can pull off wheels any bigger than 19". With that being said, Deteria is steering you on the right track with the Varrstoens,

My personal favorite are the ES 1.1.2's which are BBS replicas.

A lot of people, however, go with the ES 2.2.1's which are Volk Te-37 replicas.

If you're looking for something aggressive, I would make sure the wheel is atleast an 18x10 or 19x10, with an offset no higher than +25. Even then, at +25, you'll need spacers to flush the wheels out.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for saying this, but if you are looking to go even cheaper, XXR makes the 526's and 521's that are sub-$1000 and I actually find them to look quite nice. The only downside to these is that they have a universal lug pattern and they only come in 18's. I'm sure they weigh more as well, but probably only a couple of lbs.

Good luck!

Hey nothing wrong w/ Varrstoens. OP wanted "affordable" setup. I dunno how "affordable" he is aiming for, but I'm assuming that's somewhere in the < $2k range. They are good replica designs, though they do weigh several pounds more than the real deal. But of course, if OP got the $$$ ($3000+), he should get the real thing

I like the Varrstoen ES 2.2.1. Im looking at 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 +12. Does anyone know if these will clear Brembos? Also what size spacers do you recommend? Do I need to roll the fenders? Its on the stock suspension right now but Im planning on installing Eibach sportline springs shortly. Or maybe pro havent decided yet.

OP, looks like you have a lot of reading/searching to do.

Start here in this thread with post #8 talking about wheel sizing specifically:

https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-n...questions.html

If you want Varrstoen wheels start here:

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...ls-thread.html

If you want affordable wheels we have threads for Enkei, XXR, NISMO's, VMR's, Avante Garde's or Konigs that you could reference.

I would suggest you do some research before creating such a broad thread
