Runflats are tires like the standard Vette (not the ZO6) and the Caddy use. There's some kind of innerliner that holds air for a while after a flat. Top speed is limited to 55 while you go get them fixed (can run about 50 miles). The tires don't handle as well as a regular tire. They are heavy and get hot. The SP9000s do come in a runflat tire called the DSST, but only in limited 16" and 17" sizes. So, no these are not runflats, and I, at least, wouldn't want them.

*bump*

willpower, I'm going to be hopefully getting my new wheels in next 2-3 weeks and I'd rather make sure I have my tires for sure and not wait until late and have them be backordered or something So do you have a number for this distributor, or will we have to go through you?

thanks

ok here's the situation.....the distributer is wholesale only hence the good price, I think they only sell to companys registered with them but by almeans you can give them a call and ask. They have the fronts in stock the rears are on back order I spoke to the guy yesterday he said about 1 or 2 weeks max before they get them in which kinda works out for you.I can definetly get you the tires If they wont sell to you. About delivery and payment we would have to work that out.I know you live in Washington D.C or in that area I live in Richmond V.A actually we have met :-) so you could always pick them up from here ........anyway here is the name and phone #

American tire distributors/Xpress performance.

866 978 4737 ask for Philip ....If you can't get any joy and your still interested i'll pm you with my phone #

Thanks for the info, much appreciated

I'll give them a call this week and see, it may not even be that big of a rush anyways. I have to go talk with Jeff from Evolution and figure out how long the order for my wheels will take. The front two I know they have, the rear may have to be special ordered (19x10.5 +35) which could take 60-90 days I hear

But if anything else comes up I'll post back in this thread

Hope you had a great Xmas and New Year's !
