Default Has anybody manufactured their own hubcentric rings?

Any reason why this wouldn't be possible? Assuming the material is available along with machining capabilities that can comply with a tolerance of, let's say +/-5 mils?

I know they're basically cheap as dirt to begin with, but if I can make them for free why not right?

If you've got the equipment and materials, have at it. I'd think you want to be more accurate than 5mm though.

Sure its possible. I’ll just run out to the garage and startup my $480,000 CNC machine.

I guess people working at companies with access to a machine shop is just too far out of the realm of possibility?

Essentially I'm just asking if there's anything more to them than being simply a ring of aluminum?

I'll buy some 67.1mm OD x 66.06mm ID if you want to make them.

Or am I wasting time trying to find hubcentric rings for wheels with 67.1mm bore? I'm seriously asking.

I dunno man cause I've never owned a set but those would be some thin rings.

If you have the access to the materials and the machinery, definitely. I've had customers that machine their own spacers and whatnot as well.

They are thin, and I would go 66.1 mm like what is sold, but they stick badly. If the hub bore was the same on both sets of my wheels I would go aluminum.

I do recall members asking about absurd spacers like 2.0 inches. Maybe you can help them out. Your company name could be Wheel Spacers For Idiots, Inc.

Ya they would be ridiculously thin. I haven't found any yet so I'm thinking they aren't made.

I can hand-write the CNC code in less than 10 minutes or use MarterCam in a couple minutes. I would probably use 3 endmils, setup the work holding in about an hour. Maybe a cycletime of 10 minutes. For larger sale quantities, yes, but for the price of those things from Z1Performance, the only way I would do that is if I am extremely bored at work and needed something to do. So far I have never had the chance of being bored at work.

Funny thing is the seller is Discount Tire. I was actually going to call them just to check.
