Default Need Help Deciding Between 2 Wheels

have narrowed my choices down to two sets of wheels
going on a 2004 convertable silverstone 350z
19" 5Zigen Sport Engine Silver
8.5 wide front 9.5 wide rear
not for sure of offset but know they came off a 350z
$450 for these without tires

20" MSR 093 grey wheels
20x8.5 and 20x10 with 24mm offset
can get these for $450 also

any help is appreciated
thanks

if your budget is below $1k, save up for some authentic wheels!

if you do not like this idea, Varrstoen LM mesh replicas are okay wheels for the money, and definitely better than the one's above assmuning you like mesh wheels.

So you are looking for a mesh type wheel?
By the prices you mentioned, you are looking for
wheels at a low end.Silver...
Weight is not gonna be a factor. You won't find
any lightweights at these prices(used?).
Wheels are VERY subjective.I happen to like a mesh wheel.
Have e'm on my Z.Personally, the problem I have with
mesh designs is the number of spokes. If you get too
many "Y" parts coming of the center the wheel looks too
"spokey".I looked a many wheels before coming up with a design
that really looked good.It has 7 "Y"s.Also,IMO...19's are the best design balance.
20's too much.18's if you are gonna track.I settled on ACE STRADA's in a
hyper black(look alloy silver)with polished lips.Great quality at a great price.
Look more expensive than what they cost.Offsets are 20 front,25 rear.
Check e'm out.
See my veh pics.

they are both fine and are both cheap...
seriously.. NO ONE STARTS AT THE FINISH LINE.
I dont know why we always give that advice, I mean..none of us ever listened to it.
Welcome to MY car the year after i bought it and realized my STS wheels woud fit.. cmon.. ppl buy cheap and move up.. its what we do. And yes, it was frikin terrible... OPs wheel choices are no where near as bad.

The widths on the 20" wheels is more aggressive, and it looks like it has a good lip, so id assume beter offsets. Tires are now about the same $ for 19 and 20s.

your choice is now the diff between 19s and 20s, and thats purely opinion, so use your own for that.

To answer the OP's question, IMO, i would go with the set of 19s. I think 19s fit nicely on the Z. With 8.5/9.5" widths, pick up some spacers so your net offset is between +10 and +15. I have those widths and my offsets are +11/+17 and they look good.

Thread is worthless without offsets

Judging by the price both of these wheels are going for i have a feeling they are not going to be anything ideal

I would go with the 19's. You can still have some rubber and drop the car without getting to drastic with pulling and rolling the fenders.

Surprise 98dropta didn't get flame for not searching lol.

OP - both wheels looks good but the fitment sux.
Looks are subjective... fitment isn't. Research on the proper fitment (width and offset) for our car is all the advice I'm giving you.

GL on your purchase!

I'm in the same boat as Jcity, I'm a huge fan of mesh wheels.
Although I don't really like either, I'd say the MSR's look better.
However, I think 20's are too much wheel for a Z. Also, I think that an 8.5" aftermarket wheel isn't wide enough.
Just my .02

With that being said, because I think the 20's are too much, i'd go with the 5zigen.

My suggestion is to pass on both and save for a set of Enkei's instead

If you're looking for something a little different, check out our V705.

Or V710.

For that price, you cant go wrong. If i was in the market for rims, i would get these in a heartbeat.
Wheels with a lip look better IMO.
