Default Yoko S. Drive front and Hankook V12 Evo rear?

I have a lot of experience with a bunch of different tires in the range I'm looking for and my favorites have always been the Yokohama S. Drives due to how responsive they are.

It's time for tire change and I have heard a lot of good about the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's. Though I've heard their sidewalls make them not respond as well as the S. Drives even though they're better in many other ways.

So, I was thinking about S.Drives up front and V12's in the rear. Anyone have experience with this set up or advice on doing this versus just going with V12's or S. Drive's all around?

You should be running the same tyres all four corners, so you don't find out the hard way.

I've known many people to run different tires in the rear and front with zero issues. Tires only need to be the same from one side to the other on the same axle.

Should work fine , I run odd setups all the time. Right now I have an NT05 up front and V12 rear. Optimal, NO, works around town, YES.

You ask a question then admonish others comments. So I see little point in commenting.

If you want to really compare the performance difference between two sets tires you should be using the same model for all around

If your question is regarding running mismatch tire models/brands that is completely fine and I have been doing that for a long time

You will find that people will run different tires front and rear all the time, however it is not recommended. To get around town you should have no issues with this generally.

If possible I recommend going with the same front and rear, whether it be S.Drives or Ventus V12s.

Also, remember that different brands of tire will not have the exact same sizes. For example, Falken sidewalls are very thin compared to michelin's

It's crazy how different tire sizing can be between brands. Some run narrow, some run wide, some run short, some run tall, some have rounded shoulders, some have square shoulders, etc.
