Track wheels and Larger Tires
Curious who is running wider tires on the stock Track 8/8.5 wheels. Ideally, I'd like to go with 245/40 front and 275/40 rear, keeping the stagger - but I'm guessing the 275 is questionable for an 8.5" wheel.
Any advice is apreciated?

275 is WAY too wide for an 8.5 inch rim. 275s are pretty standard for those going with 9.5 inch wide.
There's a reason Nissan used the widths they did. Go too wide and you're going to get some major bulge and it could go as far as your tire not staying safely on the wheel.

SpeedRacer is right....
I have 245/40-18 on the front Rays wheels and 255/40-18 on the rear Rays wheels. I did have 255/45 on the rear, but to me the sidewall looked too tall.
I think 255 is about as wide as you want to go on a 8.5" wheel.
Hope that helps,

I have 245/45 in front and 255/45 in rear, my next set will be 40's instead, like mentioned the sidewall is too high plus the ride sometimes is floaty with the bigger sidewall.
255 is the widest I would go with the 8.5 rim.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like the rear tire change results in a slightly smaller diameter overall...2.4% difference. Has anyone had any VDC issues with the 245/255 set-up?
