Question New Bridgestone Tire?

I was up at a Firestone place with my Mom while she got a flat fixed on her truck and was looking at some replacements for my 040s in the next few months. The guy at the counter started telling me about some new tire that Bridgestone is coming out with in the summer. I can't remember the name, it was something flashy like 'fusion' or something...He didn't give any details but did say they are new to the states and are good for, and I qoute "cars like your 350z and those modded Hondas"

Anyways, just wondering if anyone has heard anything about these?

These RE 040s have left such a sour taste in my mouth that I won't buy another Bridgestone tire for my Z again.

yea, you should be seeing the 2-toned lime/dark green sponsored bridgestone cars in print ads and on the road in the next few months.

edit. no real news on the tire yet, all i know is that it's aimed towards 'imports'. a buddy of mine is talking to bridgestone about a sponsorship deal on this tire.

True... the RE040s are not the best tire for performance, but they are good for daily driving.

But, that should not stop you from buying the SO2. I have 245/40 front and 255/40 rear SO2s on my Track model Z and they are great. These are not the Pole Position model that have the different silica compound. Very good dual purpose street/track tire.

As long as Tirerack continues to carry them, I'll keep buying them.

I'm not sure what I'll buy next either, just wanted to check.

Thanks for the info.
