Scratched VSXX lip, but not curbed. Any help to remove?

Default Scratched VSXX lip, but not curbed. Any help to remove?

I've searched the forums as well as google, but I can't seem to find a definite solution. I'm not quite sure how this happened, but my guess is from driving on a temporary road made of gravel to get into my apartment complex. It's not curbed or anything, no deep damage but it has scratches though like it has been curbed. (Not sure if lip is anodized or not) I was thinking polishing it with meguiars aluminum since it's just barely the outside of the lip, but not sure. Any suggestions as to possibly removing these scratches? TIA

I came across this thread awhile back, where the guy fixed a much worst curb, but I don't think his wheels were anodized.

If the lip is not anodized, you could probably polish it out with some time and elbow grease. If they are anodized I would contact Work to see what they recommend.

Any good wheel repairer should be able to take care of that for you

I would ask around in your regional subforum

I agree, there are shops everywhere that specialize in repairing pretty expensive wheels like these. Just search around and find out the reputable places and get quotes.

it should be an easy fix , ask around , it shouldnt be expensive , here in tx , that would cost like 40-50 bucks, good luck

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I purchased the mag & aluminum polish just to give it a shot, turns out it doesn't turn black like I had wished for. I'll just deal with it until I find a good place that'll repair it

We have a mobile wheel repair unit here in Colorado that comes to your house and repairs wheels. They were fairly affordable working on some TRD 19's I had previously. You might search around a little and see what's available in your area.

btw specialist wheel repair places are cheap... but generally also do a rediculous good job .
Ive seen some truly amazing repairs..

yeah, polishing didn't help. it's clear coated and anodized It's actually not as bad during the day with sunlight, so i'll be fine. Thanks!

I had curbs on mine but they stripped anodized chrome from the frontal outter edge of the lip. The polished it looks like new cant even tell the difference from anodized from polish.
