Default TPMS question

Hey so I got a set of snow tires and rims for my 350z off craigslist for the winter. When I put them on, my TPMS is not reading at all. Now I know you can manually register them, but my question is how do I know that these tires/rims have the TPMS valves at all? Is there a way to find out?

assuming that your summer tires have TPMS - compare the valve stems on the winter to them. TPMS are connected to the aluminum valve stems.

What do you know that we don't about manually registering the TPMS, in the 10 years the car has been around we all needed to have the dealer use the Consult.

Edit, never saw this till today https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...ring-tpms.html

The valve stems will be metal compared to rubber on a sensor.

Also The TPMS has to be made for the 350z, not just any TPMS will pair up with your system. Since you said you bought the wheel set from Craiglist, was the wheel set on 350z before? pm me if you have any questions.
