Default Stock C6 wheels on my Z? maybe

So my neighbor is selling his Corvette and he has his stock wheels ans is willing to sell them to me for $400. I would so love to run them as track wheels as my current ones, Ruff Racin R280s *which I did not buy*, I don't think they would be good for track. He said he was running 245/285 and I hope I can run these. The specs he told me are 18x8.5 fronts and 19x10 rear. Would be pretty cool if I could run these. Hope I won't have any problems with the rears.

Isn't the bolt pattern the same but in a different number form? 5x4.5? And how's the offset? Gonnavtry to test fit as soon as he can because he goes to usf and is barely home lol..

No the bolt pattern is 5x4.75 in inches or 5x120 in mm. You would definitely need an adapter/spacer to convert the bolt pattern and adjust the offset.

C6 non Z06

Front 18 x 8.5, +56 mm offset
Rear 19 x 10, +79 mm offset

Not worth the effort unless you are in love with the wheels and cant do without.

Whoa! You'd need massive spacers to make those look more flush.

Agreed! I tried to put on work meisters with similar offsets from my buddy's s2k and it looked like crap on my Z. There was a good 5-6 inches between the edge of the tire and the fender.

Oh man, well that sucks lol... Do you guys think it would be worth it to buy the adapter, the spacers and tires just to have these C6 wheels?

If you like the wheels I say go for it. It's not like adapters are some massively complicated thing to bolt on and take off. I did a fair amount of work to make some 350z track edition wheels work with the center bore of my old s2k, was nice being the only person with those wheels on that car.
