Best/cheapest play online to buy tires?
I've decided on XXR 526's 18x9 +25 all around and I just bought 245/45/18's for my stock rear tires back in November and I'm looking to get 2 more tires 245/45/18. What's the best place online to buy tires? I've looked at discounttire.com but it looks like you have to go to the closest shop to get em and the closest for me is in OKC, way too far of a drive.
Sears has deals on 2 tires where you get buy 2 and save $40 or buy 4 and save $100. I was able to jump in on the sears buy 3 get 1 free good year sale and stack on $35 off coupon. The coupon right now is $30 off $300 and I was able to stack the Buy 3 get 1 free along with AUTO35 code. Also keep in mind you can get mr rebates 6% cashback or ebates, if you prefer there is also shop discover or chase freedom for 5%. Sears will also price match and you can choose to do the install elsewhere.
Check out http://www.discounttiredirect.com/ if you want to choose discount and have them match all the sears discounts and let them know about the cashback from sears but does not apply to discount. You should be able to skip out on tax if there is no local stores.

I usually get my Falkens from http://www.tires-easy.com/ Typically they arrive within a couple days. They sent me the wrong size one time, and were super easy to deal with getting it corrected.
I've recommended them many times and never heard anything bad...

Thanks for the responses guys. Wow, these places (even with the shipping costs) are a lot less than places around town charge. I got some no name brand with the road hazards for like 190 a pop in November. For just 2 tires with road hazards and an oil change it was like 515 after tax. Ridiculous. I'll just buy em online along with the rims I want and just go to a local store for them to put em on my car for me.
^^^Yeah, just keep in mind places have really jacked up the prices for mounting and balancing tires over the past couple years. Even when I get a good deal online for the tires, I have a hard time finding anywhere local that will mount/balance them for under $140

- DiscountTireDirect is the online store for DiscountTire.com. They price match so be sure to submit any lower price options you find (shipping is factored into their prices), plus they have a better tire insurance option should you wish to purchase it
- TireRack has pretty good prices too, but their road hazard program is questionable (run by third party, prorated after first year, etc. - DiscountTireDirect is for 3 years but doesn't cover patches, plugs etc. only replacements that cannot be fixed)

why do you guys worry about mounting and balancing. Stop being wussies and do your research. Mounting and balancing is no more than $15 per tire. Right now goodyear is giving $25 off $50 on labor. I got a 4 wheel alignment on groupon via local mechanic with laser alignment machine for $35. Mounting at good year is $17 per tire and they will take $25 off. I plan to spend NO MORE than $100 for mounting, balancing and align all 4 tires. jeez people stop pissing away good money. Here is good year eagle gt tires normally $180 from every shop in the planet. Now thanks to sears, coupons, shop your way reward and cashback. I got each tire for less than $120.
Edit: Incase you don't know history tends to repeat it self. Discount tire will be having along with other shops a presidents day sale. Economy is weak and might as well have an excuse to have a sale and fuel some growth. Either way history repeats it self and you will repeat your mistakes.
