Default Volk GT-C Refinishing?

I've been trying to remember the wheel dealer in SoCal that did the wonderful refinishing work. I'm pretty sure he was a Volk dealer, but I can't remember his name or company. He used to be on the boards all the time. Anyone? TIA.

There are a couple places that can do it. Do you want powdercoat or custom paint?

I've had this set on the car since 2007-2007. It's time to show them some love. There's very minor curb-rash, and the barrels need to be stripped, polished, and clear-coated. Anybody else have any suggestions for wheel shops that do great refinishing work? I still can't remember the shop in the greater L.A. area that was so good And he was reasonably priced. My local wheel guy says he won't even reapply clear to them. I tend to think Volk knows what they're doing.......

Call up Steve or Brian at Mackin - (562) 946-6820. There's this one guy that they typically recommend for Volk refinishing that does stellar work.

The name I was trying to remember was Rick at Status Auto. It hit me as soon as Brian at Mackin said it. Unfortunately, neither of the numbers I have for him worked.

Be glad Status is gone; one of the shadiest shops ever. They ripped off a lot of guys (check the 370z and G37 forums).

I guess that's one of the things I always loved about the forums--you got real-time feedback. Unfortunately, once my car was completed (are they ever really complete?), I didn't spend as much time participating. Thanks for the heads-up.
