mine lasted about 4000 miles... about 100 of that was during two different HPDE's at Texas World Speedway. By the end of the second track event the front tires were completely obliterated... chuncks of rubber were coming off of them and the edges were in all sorts of disrepair. They clearly are not suitable for track events!

Normal, sane drivers should get 12k to 15k easily out of a set and possibly up to 20k. It realy depends on your driving habits.

Hope that helps,

PeteH

I only got 11,500 out of the rears (worn past wear bars) - the fronts had a little life left but not much - replaced them with S03 Pole Positions - they aren't wearing any better :/

Have 7300 miles on mine and show no wear. Should be good for 30,000 to 40,000 miles.

I have 14 autocrosses 1 HPDE class and all those miles. The rears still have another 2000 miles but the fronts are now gone.

Upgrading to 265 yoko AVS front, 295 rear on SSR's

No allignment form the beginning

Unit #000065, I guess I am just lucky for once.

I got 14,000 out of my first set of rears. I think they are suposed to last around 15,000. I have 12,000 on my newest ones and they are about shot too. Fronts are ok for about 20,000 if you can get them to not cup and roar. (26,000 miles and 2 sets of tires in 16 months)

If you can get even 20K out of the back I would be surprised.

21000 miles out of the rears. Although, technically, they are really bald now. Hit the wear indicators at 17000 miles. I figured since I live in Sunny Southern CA without the hint of a possibility of rain, I would be ok doing this. The fronts were cupped at 12000 miles and the idiots at Mossy Nissan (Kearny Mesa) were too ignorant to swap em. So now they are really badly cupped. Before I toss on my T1-S and nice new ADR M-Sport rims this next week, I am pretty sure I should get another alignment done. And spring for the S-Tune as well.

I got about 14,000 miles on mine, and they need to be replaced all around.

20K Miles on all 4. Still going strong. I have quite a bit of tread left on my rears. I want to replace them all ASAP due to feathering.

Would you say the RE040 have sidewalls that tend to be on the soft side or more on the stiff side when pushed?

Got only 15000 on the rear, and had the front one swap out by dealer around 12000 due to feathering. The tires are rated at 180, so it is considered a softer compound.

I don't know about you guys, but I've got 2k on mine and I'm so tired of the ride and noise from these tires that I'm ready for something new!

Mine look new still obviously.

Why is it that mediocre/lousy tires always seem to last forever while quality ones wear out so fast LOL!!!

Because quality tires are made of softer compounds.

C Ray Z,

Haven't seen you or your car in the neighborhood for a while. Glad to hear you're still having fun autocrossing.

I have about 12,000 miles on my original tires - still lots of miles left, but need to take it in to get the front tire "roar" fixed.

I am adding mods as fast as I can afford them. B Stock autocross, plus I am going to start track days once a month spring to fall.

Nice to hear from you. stop by when I am washing my car.
