Tire size width range for 17x9
Hey everyone,
The roads are kind of rough where I live so I decided to go with 17x9 all around so I could fit a 50 series tire on them.
I was wondering what width range I have to work with? I currently have a pair of brand new 235/50/17 on my stock rims (rear) that I was planning on using for the fronts on the new set of rims. Would a 255/50/17 for the rear and 235/50/17 for the front work on stock height?
Would a squared set-up but with different widths for tires (front: 235/50/17, rear: 255/50/17) mess with VDC?
I have a choice between +25 or +35 for offset. Which should I go with?
I've only had to get narrower tires like 205's in the past for my previous car so I'm a bit new when it comes to getting tires/rims for the Z.
Thanks in advance.

Why not just stick to oem specs and choose a tire and suspension combo that's more geared towards comfort?
Searching up the Bilstein Pss10's is a good place to start.

Thanks for the replies so far.
I think I'll be going with 17x9 in the rear and 17x8 in the front. I think this set-up will make VDC happy.
Okay, now time to select the tires.
Rear: 255/50/17
Front: 235/50/17
Is this set up okay? Will wheels/tires fit without modification on stock height? Should I go with a +25 or +35 offset for the set of rims?
