Yes, that's right, if you have 18's.

I hate to be the voice of dissention here....but you have it all wrong. )

The aspect ratio is just that....a ratio of tire width to tire diameter. By definition a 245/35/19 tire is NOT the same diameter as a 275/35/19 tire. The 35 series tire in the rear will be notably taller than the front. So, if you want to keep stock sizes the same, then a 245/35 series front tire must be coupled with a 275/30 series rear tire. If you need more proof, I can take pictures of my Volk 19's with 35 front and rear. The rear is WITHOUT question...taller than the front. I have shown this to several memebers of the board and they all agree. My car looks kinda like a muscle car in the rear now...hehe.

You are correct... But for the widths and for most wheels on the Z, the sizes I specified are right...

For example.. My TE37's were 19x8.5F and 19x9.5R with a 245/35/19 and a 275/35/19, there were the perfect sizes, and also recomended..

Now, the 18 inch Nismo wheels, which I will probably be getting, are also 8.5F and 9.5R, but they are 18's. The sizes you are suppose to get are 245/40/18 and 275/40/18, and those are the perfect sizes..

Even on the 19x10.5 TE37 the profile youshould get is STILL a 35.

It is not until you get a lot wider or thiner before you start changing the profile.

For instance the new vipers have a 345/30/19 and it is a much taller profile then the 35 I had on my te37's.

"then a 245/35 series front tire must be coupled with a 275/30 series rear tire"

You are wrong, a few people get a 30 in the rear and some have problems, not all, but a lot have posted about it skrewing up their TCS. the 35 is the correct size and thats that. I even put my 275/35/19 up next to the stock 235/50/17 and they stood exactly the same height...

DONT get a 30 profile on 19's! In the width from 9.5-10.5 you will want the 35!

If you need more proof simply read peoples signatures, I'd bet over 90-95 % of them with 19's have a 35 profile all around.

EDIT: The fact is people have had problems with TCS with the 30 profile on the 19's, no one has the problems with a 35...

GY-Z, what are the exact sizes of the wheels you have or are going to get? That would help a lot...

I agree with gq model 626. I have 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear. Runs and looks great. Personally, I do not like 35's or 40's for the rear because they look out of place on the Z - almost like balloons.

As far as the slip light goes, haven't had trouble with it do to the tires sizes. A few months ago though, it was on and off. Turns out that the slip is routed/connected to the braking system or something. Bake fluid was low in my Z which was causing the slip light to come on. Once the fluid was refilled, the slip light stopped. I drive the Z 99% of the time with the traction OFF though because I think it is a waste.

Grr, the 35 is correct for a 275/19 tire. Some people get the 30 on there, and for many it causes no problems, but to keep the overall diameter of the tire the smae the 35 is correct, and the 30 has caused many people trouble on 19's.

I give up ...

Of course a 275-35-19 & 245-35-19 arent the same Diameter. No one said they were. They are staggered height with the rear being taller...just as it should be.

Now as far as your 275-30-19 rear being taller than your 245-35-19 front. It should NOT be. Occasionally from manufacturer to manufacturer there may be difference is diameter, but if both front & rear on your car are from the same manufacturer Id find that hard to believe. Mathmatically your car should be 25.76F & 25.50 rear.

now this has too much stagger. almost 2" of it
245-35-18 24.75"
275-40-18 26.66

There is a reason Nissan set the stagger the way they did. It should be between .5-.75" stagger...ideally

from the web calculation u gave me..the difference of overall diameter between 275/40/18 and 245/45/18 is 0.2
and difference of overall diameter between 245/35/18 and 225/45/18 is 0.25
how did u get a difference of 2"?
or did i get the unitz wrong?
thanks

Above...you said
18/35/245(front)
18/40/275(rear)
thank u for the help by the way///
really appreciate it.
if you enter 245-35-18 & 275-40-18 you get nearly a 2" difference. That was what I was replying to

If you pull the VDC fuse under the hood, does it reset the VDC system?
