2 different sets of tires ok?
I have the feathering in the front and they wont replace them. I am thinking about buying the Michelin A/S (I think thats what they are called) but dont want to buy 4 new tires because the backs are fine. Would this be ok to keep the stock rear tires?
Yes, just dont mix up left to right. Keep the size the same also or you will screw up the VDC readings.
If you choose to change the size in the front youwill have to change the rears and adjust for the sizes to be proportionate.
If the dealer wont change your tires, that is BS. Call Nissan NA. they will help you, maybe even rip your dealer a new-one for denying you.
luck

I talked with NNA over a period of 3 days and in the end they told me that they are perfromance timres and they wear like that which is total bs. And I cant go through Lemon Law because my I bought my car with 4000 miles on it from a private seller.
I just want to add some front tires and sell it in the spring. I love the car, but I now hate Nissan.
But, yes, I am going to stick with the same size tires in the front.

Yes, welcome to the world of Nissan Service. It sucks. Honestly, I have no real complaints about the car, other than the fact I have to go to Nissan for service. It is almost reason enough not to buy another Nissan again.
