Default 2005 Track wheels on Touring model...

I searched until my eyes bled.

I read somewhere that the wheels on a 2005 Touring were all 18x8, and the stagger was accomplished with the tires to "keep the VSC (VDC?) happy"...

First, is this a fact, and second, if it is, am I going to have a problem with the Track V1 wheels I just bought?

Yes it is a fact and the same tire sizes are used with the Track wheels.

I put track v1 wheels on my 04 touring and used the same tires without problem. The lighter track wheels seem to improve the cars performance. In fact, I don't understand why anyone with a Track version would exchange the Rays wheels for some aftermarket product unless those too were manufactered by Rays.

Because people know I need cheap take-offs...

Seriously though, the Track model wheels are good, and with 245/40s in the front and 275/40s in the rear, the balance is very good. Don't scoff at the tire widths, while the front wheels are stamped 18x8, and are actually 8" wide at the base of the bead, they're 8 ⅝" wide at the lip of the bead (and the rears actually measure 9 ¼" wide at the lip of the bead). That's why we could easily get 295/35R18 Hoosiers on the fronts -- and the RX/8 guys could barely get 245s on their 8"-wide rims.
