Default Few Very simple questions for you guys..

First, I just want to say I bought some 19" Volk Gunmetal GT-C's, and plan to put them on after this snow storm.

Now I'm afraid of people trying to steal them so I want to buy some special 7 sided lugs, or any lugs which you need a special key for. All the sets I seen are for 4lug/wheel sets. Where can I get a good set at a fairly decent price?

Second.. I want to improve the ride quality so I was thinking of getting Tien h-tech springs which only drop it roughly half inch in front and back. Would I need to roll fenders or anything with those drop and the 19"s on?

Thanks guys

Lugs that need a key-type socket are easily defeated. Go for a more complicated type of lug. What kind? No clue.

I have no problems with my S Tune suspension and 19s--but then again, it's not quite a full inch drop.

As for locking lugs--if a good car thief wants your wheels, he's gonna get around the lugs.

Yea, when i worked at a wheel shop we had a socket that didnt have any lug config in the middle of it - it was just an open circle inside that got smaller as it got towards the ratchet - you just band it onto any lug - any lug at all, and it will take it off.

We used to use it for people that lost their wheel lock keys or for people that use the wierd lug combo things that you are looking to use - Like said , if someone wants them, they are going to take them.

Best chance is an alarm, as it might detect the car being raised or with a proxy alarm, but then you just anoy yourself and neighbors when it goes off all the time

See my sig...I have Volks too...you will not be able to use the OEM lug nuts anyway because the lug wrench will not fit (you can use a socket if you want)...I bought spline drive lug nuts with lock nuts as well...these will not stop everyone if they really want to steel your wheels but it is a deterent.

Also...you will probably find a "6th" bolt on your front wheels, they are easily removed and are only there to prevent rookies from rotating wheels.

Fritz...

Been there, done that.
